In simple terms, I’m a recording artist and a writer. I enjoy creating something out of nothing, whatever it is. I’ve been given gifts enough to be in the arts, so that’s the nature of what I end up creating. I’m based in New Jersey.

New Album

I’m working on a new album. The working title is New Aquarius. The term is what I’ve attached to my own personal metamorphosis since my last album, Pull All The Plugs. This blog is a window on me.

I have released four recordings on which I played most all of the instruments, if not all. Live, I’ll play bass whenever possible. My sound draws on the sophisticated rock and soul music of the 70s.

The Anti-Rock Sound

Calling my music "rock" now does me a disservice, since "rock" is term that been adopted by musicians whose music doesn’t interest me at all. Even worse, it’s been adopted by video games, salesmen ("Let’s rock and roll!") and little girls’ t-shirts (I recently saw a little pink t-shirt while shopping for my daughter that had guitars all over it with a caption that said ‘Rock Out!’). Umm… wrong. I reject these things.

My genre is Anti-Rock. Much like Anti-Folk, it looks like it, uses similar instrumentation, but completely ducks the modern definition of the word. Musically, I’ll always take a turn before something boring happens. Anti-Rock is passionate and profound. It’s loud, but not all the time. It’s honest. It’s citrus-flavored. It’s about life and love. It’s beautiful. It’s independent.

In my noblest endeavors as an artist, I’m trying to relay the value of self-awareness and the possibility that we live in the best of all possible worlds despite all evidence to the contrary.

If that’s all too much, think of it as listeners’ music with explosions.
